Apple officially releases new MacBook Pro and MacBook Air with the all-new M5 series chips. The MacBook Pro features M5 Pro and M5 Max chips, adopting a new 18-core CPU architecture with a 30% performance boost; GPU AI peak computing power is over four times higher than the previous generation, and ray tracing performance has increased by 35%.

The MacBook Air debuts with the M5 chip, doubling the starting storage from 256GB to 512GB, and introduces Apple’s self-developed N1 wireless chip to support Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6. All new models run macOS Tahoe and are deeply integrated with Apple Intelligence, emphasizing security and efficiency by running advanced AI tools locally without relying on the cloud.

The new Pro models support Thunderbolt 5 ports, with a maximum battery life of up to 24 hours. Starting storage has been increased to 1TB (M5 Pro) or 2TB (M5 Max). Apple also launches the new Studio Display series, replacing the Pro Display XDR, offering higher brightness, mini-LED backlighting, and faster refresh rates.

The new MacBook series will be available for pre-order on March 4 and officially ship on March 11.
