Abstract generation in progress

U.S. President Donald Trump has approved the development of up to 10 gigawatts of natural gas-fired power generation in Texas and Pennsylvania. This move is part of a broader U.S.-Japan trade agreement, with Japan committing $550 billion in investments. The projects, to be jointly owned by U.S. and Japanese stakeholders and operated by NextEra, aim to meet increasing electricity demand from data centers and advanced manufacturing without raising household power bills.
