Odaily Planet Daily reports that U.S. officials have revealed that the Pentagon is dispatching three warships and thousands of additional Marines to the Middle East. Meanwhile, Trump insists that U.S. troops will not enter Iran. According to officials, approximately 2,200 to 2,500 Marines from the California-based “BOSKER” Amphibious Ready Group and the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit are heading to U.S. Central Command, which oversees all U.S. military forces in the Middle East. This marks the second large-scale deployment of Marines in the past week. Previously, the Pentagon had sent the USS TRIPOLI stationed in Japan and the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit to the region. Just a day before this report, Trump stated that there are no plans to deploy ground troops in Iran. (Jin10)
