"Cyberpunk 2077" Game: How to Run Smoothly on Mac? Apple Attending GDC 2026 Next Week, Hard-core Breakdown of the Mechanisms Behind It
Tech News Home, March 4 — AppleInsider published a blog post yesterday (March 3) reporting that at the Game Developers Conference (GDC) in San Francisco on March 11, Apple will hold three dedicated sessions to fully promote its gaming ecosystem.
According to the blog, Apple is carefully planning three core topics to attract more top developers to its ecosystem: hardware integration, flagship game porting, and App Store distribution strategies.
The first session, titled “Built for Gaming: Exploring Apple’s Hardware and Software for Game Developers,” will take place at 10:10 a.m. local time on March 11. Apple experts Allan Schafer and others will analyze the unified architecture and system features in detail.
Developers will gain insights into how to leverage Apple’s technical tools to efficiently build games across the entire Apple ecosystem, including Vision OS, improving performance and creating seamless gaming experiences.
Immediately after, at 11:30 a.m., the second major session, “Bringing Cyberpunk 2077 to Mac,” will begin. CD Projekt Red developers Oleg Shatulo and Pawel Sasko will join Apple representatives to reveal the behind-the-scenes development process.
The team will review their technical approach to completing this large-scale port using Apple hardware, software, and development tools, providing valuable reference for cross-platform development of other AAA titles.
The final session, “Maximize Your Game’s Potential on the App Store,” will start at 12:45 p.m. This segment will focus on marketing and monetization. Nadia Thorne, CEO of Black Salt Games, will join the Apple team to share practical experiences from the success of their award-winning game Dredge on Apple platforms, guiding developers on best practices for launching and promoting games.
