Art Center "Treasures of Hong Kong" Art Fair Opening
Hong Kong Arts Centre’s “Treasured Hong Kong” Art Fair 2026 opens on Friday, with Deputy Director of the Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau Liu Zhen and Chairman of the Hong Kong Arts Development Council Ho Kai-kang attending the opening ceremony. The fair focuses on local artists, showcasing shortlisted works by both renowned and emerging artists, continuously fostering public enthusiasm for art and encouraging art collection.
The “Treasured Hong Kong” Art Fair is sponsored by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department of the Hong Kong SAR Government. It runs from March 21 to March 29 at the Arts Centre, featuring over 500 exhibits from more than 280 local artists. The displayed media include paintings, ceramics, photography, 3D printing, sculpture, installation art, and mixed media art.
For the first time, the fair is divided into four main themed exhibition zones. Among them, “Collector’s Selections” features treasured collections from multiple collectors and masterworks, guiding visitors to trace the roots of Hong Kong art. Works by Ding Yung-yung, Mai Hin-yong, and Ho Fan will be exhibited. “Masterpieces Exhibition” gathers works from seasoned artists and emerging gallery creators from the past 70 to 80 years, including artists Ko Siu-kong, Mo Yat-hin, Xu Kai-kiu, and Fung Juet-suet, showcasing artistic achievements and creativity across different eras.
This year, the Arts Centre announced that “Treasured Hong Kong” will become a regular program, continuing to support the development of the local art scene.
