He Xiaopeng: Targets Mass Production of IRON Robot by End of This Year
Viewpoint Network News: On the evening of March 20, XPeng Motors held a conference call to discuss Q4 2025 and full-year performance.
XPeng Motors Chairman and CEO He Xiaopeng stated at the meeting that the company aims to mass-produce the IRON robot by the end of this year. The robot will be equipped with three self-developed Turing AI chips, providing significantly higher effective computing power on the edge than other robots in the industry.
He Xiaopeng explained that XPeng’s robot technical approach differs from most other companies. XPeng not only focuses on the robot’s physical body but also emphasizes building the “brain” (responsible for autonomous thinking and decision-making), the “small brain” (responsible for movement), and the entire control system, while also advancing intelligent integration and data accumulation for intelligent models.
He further stated that the VLA2.0 technology stack has been successfully implemented on the robot. Combined with XPeng’s new fourth-generation motion control system, it is expected to deliver the best motion and control performance in the industry in the second half of this year, with the potential to establish a cross-generational lead in intelligence.
In terms of scene deployment, XPeng robots will sequentially target commercial, industrial, and home scenarios. This year, the company plans to first deploy in XPeng stores and parks in China and overseas, providing services such as shopping guidance and tours.
Notably, in the first quarter of this year, XPeng has started building a dedicated energy robot mass production base in Guangzhou. The monthly production capacity of the IRON robot is targeted to exceed 1,000 units by the end of the year.
