A Bitcoin wallet that had been dormant for over 13 years transferred 2,100 BTC last Friday, valued at $147.7 million. These bitcoins were originally purchased in July 2012 at approximately $13,685, having now realized a return of about 10,000x. The funds were consolidated to the same legacy address, but the owner's identity and motivation for the transfer remain unknown. In the preceding months, several other long-dormant "OG" bitcoin whales have also shown signs of activity.
