Samsung Electronics Co-CEO Koh Yong-woon stated at the annual shareholders’ meeting that the company is considering signing multi-year chip supply contracts with customers to replace traditional annual or quarterly agreements, helping to stabilize the memory chip market.

Samsung said that the application of AI intelligent agents is driving rapid user growth and increasing customer demand, leading to a “explosive” increase in orders for chips used in servers such as HBM, SSDs, and others.

Samsung’s foundry business is expected to seize new opportunities and drive overall growth with its leading advantage in full-encirclement gate process technology.

In the robotics field, Samsung plans to deploy high-precision robots on various production lines within the Device Experience (DX) division to master cutting-edge robot AI and dexterous hand technology.
