"Good Times" Wang Huaizhi Is Too Ruthless! So That's Why Wang Huaizhi Invested in Zhuang Xuexi
The TV drama “Good Times” shows that Zhuo Xian’s 60th birthday was truly extraordinary. When Wang Huai Zhi appeared, Su Xiao Man was so frightened she dropped her wine glass on the ground.
Her ex-husband came back to life and even became a Hong Kong billionaire. His life is incredibly legendary.
Wang Huai Zhi really knows how to pick a day; it was obviously meant to stir things up. Although Wang Huai Zhi knew Su Xiao Man remarried, he still felt he should come back. It was probably just to save face for their children and to get back together, after all, Wang Huai Zhi’s net worth is much higher than Zhuo Xian’s.
When Wang Huai Zhi left, Wang Yuan Yuan, though young, recognized that the visitor was her biological father and knew how to handle the situation. She listened to Su Xiao Man.
But Wang Yuan Yi was different. When he heard from Liu Cheng that his biological father was a wealthy man, he ran back immediately, not caring whether it spoiled Zhuo Xian’s birthday. He opened the door and called him Dad, afraid that if he hesitated, he might miss the chance.
From Wang Yuan Yi’s behavior, it’s clear that the traits ingrained in him are exactly the same as Wang Huai Zhi’s. Years of being around the Zhuo family didn’t lead him down the right path.
The Zhuo family’s three children are all successful: Zhuo Hao Hao runs his own restaurant, Zhuo Xue Xi has her own factory, and Zhuo Tian Tian is even more impressive, having earned her PhD.
Wang Yuan Yuan also did well, becoming a university teacher. Only Wang Yuan Yi is out there scamming money. Because he didn’t get any of the original shares, he was angry at Zhuo Xian. When Wang Yuan Yi caused trouble, Zhuo Xian protected him. He’s forgotten all that now—what a ingrate.
Even in front of his biological father Wang Huai Zhi, Wang Yuan Yi belittles Zhuo Xian, thinking of him as his stepfather. He’s content just having a meal to get by.
Saying such things naturally pains Wang Huai Zhi. When it comes to Zhuo Xian’s plight, Wang Yuan Yi is truly unbeatable—no one can compare.
But Liu Cheng didn’t let Wang Huai Zhi go. He was eager for Wang Huai Zhi to invest in his machinery factory and kept flattering him.
Just as Wang Huai Zhi wanted to buy a house for Wang Yuan Yuan as compensation for his children, Liu Cheng refused and told Wang Huai Zhi that he and Wang Yuan Yuan were very happy together.
Seeing Liu Cheng refuse to buy the house, Wang Huai Zhi wanted to leave some money for Wang Yuan Yuan. Of course, Liu Cheng hoped for that, so he happily agreed to Wang Huai Zhi’s proposal.
To get Wang Huai Zhi to invest in him instead of Zhuo Xue Xi, Liu Cheng also approached Wang Yuan Yi, hoping he could persuade Wang Huai Zhi to invest.
Seeing Liu Cheng’s attitude, Wang Yuan Yi started to set conditions: he wanted to become the director or general manager of the machinery factory. He acted very businesslike—if the money was in place, Liu Cheng could temporarily compromise.
Wang Yuan Yi and Liu Cheng are both incredibly greedy. With Wang Yuan Yi’s level, managing the machinery factory would be a disaster.
But Wang Yuan Yi was obedient. In front of Wang Huai Zhi, he praised Liu Cheng, saying that investing in Liu Cheng was like investing in Wang Yuan Yuan—good for his own children.
Unfortunately, Wang Yuan Yi forgot that Wang Huai Zhi is a businessman. Investment is for profit, not to make up for debts. Zhuo Xue Xi works hard and is diligent—she’s worth investing in.
Liu Cheng, however, is too profit-driven. He only wants to climb the corporate ladder by stepping on the machinery factory, showing no entrepreneurial spirit. Wang Huai Zhi would never invest in him.
In business, it’s about interests, not emotional entanglements. Wang Huai Zhi is very clear on this—he won’t agree just because his son or son-in-law persuades him.
It’s clear that successful people in the business world need vision and courage, not someone like Liu Cheng who involves family feelings. Liu Cheng should learn from Wang Huai Zhi.
Wang Huai Zhi’s current success comes from understanding that the business world is like a battlefield—he doesn’t make losses.
That’s why Wang Huai Zhi chose to invest in Zhuo Xue Xi instead of Liu Cheng. It’s not about revenge on Liu Cheng or Su Xiao Man, nor does it have anything to do with Wang Yuan Yuan. As a businessman, he pursues profit—nothing wrong with that!
What do you think about Wang Huai Zhi choosing to invest in Zhuo Xue Xi instead of Liu Cheng?
