Air China: Passenger turnover in February increased 19.1% year-over-year

Air China announces that in February 2026, the group’s consolidated passenger traffic (measured by revenue passenger kilometers) increased year-over-year. Passenger capacity (measured by available seat kilometers) increased by 13.8% year-over-year, and passenger traffic increased by 19.1% year-over-year. Among them, domestic passenger capacity increased by 13.3%, and passenger traffic increased by 16.9%; international passenger capacity increased by 14.0%, and passenger traffic increased by 23.7%; regional passenger capacity increased by 25.4%, and passenger traffic increased by 37.1%. The average seat occupancy rate was 85.9%, up 3.8 percentage points year-over-year. Specifically, domestic routes increased by 2.7 percentage points, international routes by 6.5 percentage points, and regional routes by 6.8 percentage points. In terms of freight, freight capacity (measured by available freight ton kilometers) increased by 11.5% year-over-year, and cargo and mail traffic (measured by revenue freight ton kilometers) increased by 21.4%. The freight load factor was 32.4%, up 2.6 percentage points year-over-year.
