➢ The warning comes as two tankers carrying Russian oil and gas are heading to Havana.
🤍Last week, the US temporarily allowed the purchase of Russian oil on the high seas to stabilize markets amid the war with Iran. However, Cuba, suffering from an energy and economic crisis, has now been added to the list of countries banned from dealing with Russian oil and petroleum products.
🤍Russia, a longtime ally of Cuba, strongly condemned the blockade and promised support, including financial aid.
🤍Maritime intelligence notes that the tankers Sea Horse (190,000 barrels of gasoil) and Anatoly Kolodkin (730,000 barrels of crude oil) are heading to the island in attempts to circumvent sanctions by disabling AIS and lacking Western insurance.
