Abstract generation in progress

Recently, internet celebrity Luha (real name Ling Dale) was exposed for selling beef tripe produced in extremely poor conditions. The production environment was very dirty, with tripe placed directly on the ground, workers smoking while working, and various cross-contaminations. Additionally, illegal use of hydrogen peroxide was found during processing.

According to netizens, “Luha” Ling Dale’s live broadcast has sold a total of 30 million units of this product. Based on the “fake one, triple compensation” promise, the compensation to consumers could amount to 2.69 billion yuan; if the “fake one, ten times compensation” rule applies, the amount could reach 8.97 billion yuan.

Issue of beef tripe production process exposed

Some netizens commented on Ling Dale’s account, saying they had purchased this beef tripe multiple times, and others reported experiencing diarrhea after eating it.

Customer service from Ling Dale responded to consumers, stating that to better ensure a good shopping experience, during the verification of the relevant situation, they decided to provide advance refunds to users who purchased the product from Ling Dale, and on top of that, offer an additional three times the order amount as compensation.

On March 15, the Jialing District Market Supervision Administration in Nanchong, Sichuan, issued a report stating that around 5 p.m. on March 14, they noticed a video from China Food News media about “chaos in influencer beef tripe production,” which showed issues with the hygiene environment of Sichuan Chuanniu Fu Food Co., Ltd., located in Jialing District, Nanchong. The bureau attached great importance to this and organized law enforcement officers to conduct an on-site inspection at 6 p.m. the same day. An investigation has been initiated against the company, ordering it to cease production immediately, suspend operations for rectification, and register and preserve relevant raw materials and finished products, with samples sent for testing that day. Further investigation and handling are ongoing, and subsequent actions will be taken according to the findings, with timely public disclosure of the situation.

Public information shows that Ling Dale is a video blogger and live streamer, formerly known as Luha, born on August 7, 2000, in Jiangxi Province. He was a member of the male group ESO, which also included Wang Ebo, Yi Yangqianxi, and Huang Zicheng. They mimicked artists from groups like EXO and TFBOYS.

In July 2022, Ling Dale gained popularity online as a member of ESO male group with short videos of “face resemblance to celebrities.” On August 15 of the same year, he announced that he would revert to his real name from Luha and issued an apology, expressing gratitude to Lu Han and his fans, and explaining why he imitated Lu Han. In the video, he said this would be the last time he called himself Luha.

Subsequently, he transitioned into a live commerce host. Currently, Ling Dale has nearly 10 million followers. According to Qichacha, Ling Dale is associated with three companies, two of which are active. He has also revealed that he earned 35 million yuan in seven months through live streaming sales.
