People’s Financial News, March 19 — On the 19th, it was learned that the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and two other departments have deployed further efforts to regulate the competitive order of the new energy vehicle industry. They proposed to consolidate and deepen the regulation of industry competition, strengthen price monitoring and cost investigations, study and standardize automotive financial policies, and normalize and institutionalize the rectification of online industry chaos. They also urged companies to strictly implement the 60-day payment term commitment.

Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the National Development and Reform Commission, and the State Administration for Market Regulation jointly held a symposium with enterprises in the new energy vehicle sector, calling for enhanced inter-departmental coordination and strengthened innovation-driven development to continuously promote high-quality industry growth.

The meeting required implementing a new round of high-quality development actions for key industrial chains, accelerating efforts to address weaknesses in automotive chips and basic software, expanding application scale, and improving quality and performance through iteration. It also emphasized speeding up breakthroughs in autonomous driving technology, optimizing access pilot procedures, and accelerating the formulation of relevant standards to create favorable conditions for large-scale mass production.

The meeting also outlined key tasks such as expanding automobile consumption and optimizing industry management. It proposed to thoroughly implement special actions to boost consumption, steadily promote the replacement of old cars with new ones, promote large-scale application of new energy heavy trucks, and develop and release policy documents to support the healthy development of the automotive modification market, fully stimulating market consumption potential.

Additionally, efforts will be made to improve financial credit services, strengthen international logistics and transportation guarantees, and support automobile exports and overseas development. The system framework will be improved, and the legislative process for the “Regulations on the Administration of Motor Vehicle Production Access” will be accelerated to establish a sound, open, scientific, and efficient governance system for the automotive industry.

Risk identification will be strengthened, product access controls will be tightened, production consistency supervision will be reinforced, and the bottom line of product quality and safety will be maintained. (Xinhua News Agency)
