Industry ETF Weather Vane | Power Grid Equipment ETF Volume Drops, 5 Hong Kong-listed Tech ETFs Rise Over 1.5% in Half-Day Trading
This morning, the previously popular sector of power grid equipment experienced a significant decline, with trading volume clearly increasing. Among them, the half-day trading volume of the Power Grid Equipment ETF (159326) reached 1.631 billion yuan; in the cross-border ETF sector, the Hang Seng Technology ETF (513130) had a half-day trading volume of 3.746 billion yuan, indicating relatively active trading.
In terms of ETF gains, Hong Kong stocks rebounded across the board today, with ETFs such as Hang Seng Innovation Medicine, Hang Seng Technology, and Hong Kong Stock Connect Technology leading the gains, with half-day increases generally above 1.5%.
From an investment perspective, as the annual report silence period for Hong Kong stocks ends, large-scale buybacks by core leading companies will gradually resume. These buybacks can directly boost market confidence, reduce circulating shares, and increase earnings per share, providing direct support for stock prices and further strengthening the sector’s bottom support logic. On the other hand, the open-source breakthrough of OpenClaw marks a new era for AI industry from “dialogue interaction” to “autonomous execution” agents; combined with the US stock AI chain’s performance exceeding expectations, Hong Kong tech stocks are returning to the AI growth mainline.
Commentary: The ICBC Hong Kong Stock Connect Technology 30 ETF (159636) and the Wanjia Hong Kong Stock Connect Technology ETF (159251) both rose by 1.89% and 1.87% respectively this morning. Among them, the ICBC Hong Kong Stock Connect Technology 30 ETF (159636) has a larger scale, with holdings reaching 54.481 billion shares, and a half-day trading volume of 461 million yuan. Both ETFs track the China Securities Index Hong Kong Stock Connect Technology Index, which also includes ETFs like the Southbound Hong Kong Stock Connect Technology ETF (159269).
The China Securities Index Hong Kong Stock Connect Technology Index selects 30 large-cap, high R&D investment, and high revenue growth technology leading companies as its sample securities to reflect the overall performance of listed companies in the Hong Kong Stock Connect technology sector.
