The Jockey Club held an awards ceremony today for the "Jockey Club Excellence Athlete Incentive Scheme" in connection with the National 12th Para Games, distributing a total of 8.4337 million yuan in prize money. Chief Secretary for Administration Chan Kwok-ki said the HKSAR Government fully supports para-sports and provides comprehensive assistance to athletes. Jockey Club Chairman Liu Zhanjiang praised the Hong Kong team's outstanding performance, which demonstrates the Hong Kong spirit and raises awareness of para-sports.

The Jockey Club held the award ceremony for the 12th National Disabled Sports Games (Disability Games) “Jockey Club Outstanding Athlete Award Program” today, awarding a total of HKD 6,843,700 in prizes.

The Secretary for Administration, Mr. Chan Kwok-ki, attended the ceremony and stated that the Hong Kong SAR government has always strongly supported the development of sports for people with disabilities. Through various sports policies and resource investments, the government fully supports athletes in pursuing their dreams. The SAR government works closely with the Hong Kong Sports Institute, the Hong Kong China Paralympic Committee, and various sports associations to provide comprehensive support, including elite training, sports medicine and science support, and employment arrangements after retirement.

Mr. Liao Changjiang, Chairman of the Jockey Club, said that the Hong Kong team performed outstandingly at this year’s Disability Games. All athletes competed with full effort, surpassed themselves, and demonstrated the Hong Kong spirit of “I can do it,” bringing positive energy to society and helping to raise public awareness of sports for people with disabilities.
