Enterprise search data shows that throughout 2025, the number of newly registered optical chip-related enterprises in China increased 22.6% year-over-year to 50,700 companies, reaching a new high for annual optical chip-related enterprise registrations in the past decade. More than 30% of these are located in the East China region, accounting for 34.2% of the total. As of March 3, 2026, China has already registered 5,191 optical chip-related enterprises.
