Lido Community Staking Module Proposes Introducing IDVTC Node Operator Type to Enhance Independent Staker Operational Resilience

ChainCatcher message: The Lido community staking module (CSM) has released a new proposal to introduce identified DVT cluster (IDVTC) node operators. The proposal aims to enable verified independent community stakers (ICS) to collaboratively operate validators using DVT technology, improving operational resilience while optimizing capital efficiency. Since DVT significantly reduces the risk of large penalties and downtime, IDVTC members will enjoy lower margin requirements.

The proposal requires each IDVTC cluster to consist of 4 independent ICS members, who must run validators using Obol or SSV and generate keys through distributed key generation (DKG). This feature is expected to be launched alongside CSM v3 in Q2 or Q3 of 2026.
