Micron Technology announced the completion of its acquisition of Powerchip Semiconductor Manufacturing Corporation’s P5 site in Tongluo, Taiwan, a move aimed at enhancing its DRAM production capabilities, especially for AI applications. The site, featuring 300,000 square feet of cleanroom space, is expected to begin shipments by fiscal 2028, with plans for a second facility at the location by the end of fiscal 2026.
