IT House February 26 News, telecom giant Ericsson announced on the 23rd local time that it will showcase key 6G technology capabilities at MWC2026 in Barcelona next month, in collaboration with Apple and MediaTek.

Regarding the partnership with Apple, Ericsson will demonstrate spectrum sharing of MRSS multi-wireless access technology between 5G and 6G. This solution helps telecom operators achieve a smooth transition and coexistence from 5G to 6G, minimizing resource waste and signal burden. The现场 will display 5G systems and 6G simulation systems, both connected to Ericsson base stations operating in TDD mid-band frequencies.

In collaboration with MediaTek, the two will jointly showcase cmWave millimeter wave technology. The related closed-environment prototype testing system integrates Ericsson’s wireless RAN with MediaTek’s user terminal prototypes, covering the full baseband processing from wireless communication to IP layer, with a focus on presenting the low-latency technology of the competitive buffer status report in the 6G technology stack.
