Green Fuel Key Laboratory Unveiled

On March 10th, the unveiling ceremony and construction kickoff meeting of the Shanghai Green Fuel Efficient Synthesis System Engineering Key Laboratory (preparatory) were held at Shanghai Boiler Works Co., Ltd. Wu Lei, Party Secretary and Chairman of Shanghai Electric Group, and Xuan Fuzhen, Deputy Party Secretary and President of East China University of Science and Technology, jointly unveiled the laboratory. Led by Shanghai Electric, the laboratory is built in cooperation with East China University of Science and Technology, focusing on overcoming technical bottlenecks in the efficient synthesis of green fuels such as green alcohol, green ammonia, and sustainable aviation fuels. It aims to systematically tackle three major directions: high-efficiency synthesis of diverse green fuels, high-efficiency clean power equipment, and AI + digital twin flexible regulation, establishing a full-chain innovation system from basic research and pilot testing to industrialization.

Shanghai Electric and Haier New Energy Sign Strategic Cooperation Agreement

On March 6th, Shanghai Electric New Energy Development Co., Ltd. and Haier New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement. The two parties will collaborate on product development and technical exchanges in fields such as photovoltaic modules and smart energy management platforms, establish a priority supply chain adaptation mechanism, and implement multi-scenario projects like zero-carbon parks. They will explore diverse cooperation models, develop integrated energy solutions for high-energy-consuming industries, create industry-leading benchmark projects and promote replication, and jointly expand overseas new energy markets globally, building a comprehensive cooperation system covering products, technology, standards, and services.

Shanghai Electric Hengxi Photovoltaic’s First Batch of Products Sent to Europe

On March 9th, Shanghai Hengxi Photovoltaic Technology Co., Ltd. reached an important milestone in its overseas market. The first batch of all-black modules for a 160 MW photovoltaic project in Europe was officially shipped, marking the successful entry of the company’s differentiated products into the European market. This batch uses the company’s latest 210R-96 version all-black heterojunction modules, based on high-efficiency heterojunction cell technology platform, with a mass production efficiency of 26.0%. Designed to meet high-efficiency power generation and aesthetic requirements, these modules are suitable for high-end distributed markets overseas.

Two Technologies by Shanghai Electric Win

Electrical Engineering Society Science and Technology Progress Award

Recently, the China Electrical Engineering Society announced the list of the 2025 China Electrical Engineering Society Science and Technology Awards. Shanghai Electric Power Station Equipment Co., Ltd. Shanghai Generator Factory won the first-class Science and Technology Progress Award for the project “Key Equipment and Coordinated Control Technology and Application for Strengthening Large-Scale New Energy Transmission Systems.” This technology is at the forefront internationally and has been successfully applied in multiple domestic and overseas projects. Additionally, Shanghai Electric Wind Power Group Co., Ltd.’s “Key Technologies and Applications for Intelligent Operation and Maintenance and Predictive Early Warning of Wind Turbine Key Equipment” received the third prize.
