MTR announces that from March 17, 2026, China Airlines and Mandarin Airlines will offer city check-in services at Hong Kong Station on the Airport Express, allowing passengers to check in and drop off their luggage independently. In addition, during the Easter period, various travel promotions will be available, including half-price discounts on Octopus cards, group tickets, and free rides for children, as well as continued half-price discounts on taxi transfers.

Announces that starting from March 17, 2026, China Airlines and Mandarin Airlines will operate at Hong Kong Station on the Airport Express, offering city check-in services for travelers’ convenience. Passengers of China Airlines and Mandarin Airlines can check in and drop off luggage at Hong Kong Station via self-service from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. This service is available for flights scheduled to depart at least 90 minutes and up to 24 hours in advance. Please refer to the respective airline’s terms for details.

With the addition of China Airlines and Mandarin Airlines, a total of six major local and overseas airlines now offer city check-in services at Hong Kong Station and Kowloon Station. Currently, at Hong Kong Station, Cathay Pacific and Hong Kong Airlines provide services from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. and 7 p.m., respectively. Australia Airlines and Singapore Airlines operate from 7 a.m. and 9 a.m., respectively, until around 5 to 6 p.m. At Kowloon Station, Cathay Pacific, Hong Kong Airlines, and Australia Airlines operate from 6 or 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. MTR will continue discussions and coordination with various airlines to expand this service for more travelers.

Taxi-to-Airport Express Half-Price Transfer Discount Continues

During Easter, the Airport Express will launch a series of travel discounts and promotional activities. From March 27 (Friday) to May 3 (Sunday), MTR will offer fare discounts, including half-price Airport Express tickets for Octopus cardholders (Hong Kong residents aged 60 or above) and group tickets for 2 to 4 people for one-way travel, with fares from Tsing Yi to Airport Station as low as HKD 42.5 per person. MTR will also reintroduce free rides for children. The half-price taxi-to-Airport Express transfer discount has also been extended, providing travelers with greater flexibility.

Additionally, from now until March 28, eligible MTR Mobile members taking the Airport Express to and from Airport Station can participate in the “Ride the Airport Express and Win Tickets to the Hong Kong Sevens Rugby Tournament” event on April 2, with a chance to win two tickets to the final day of the Hong Kong Sevens.
