Hana Financial Group and Standard Chartered Bank Group have signed a memorandum of understanding to collaborate on digital asset projects, including stablecoins. The collaboration aims to leverage both parties' expertise to expand their businesses in global traditional finance and digital finance sectors. Hana Bank previously collaborated with BitGo to provide cryptocurrency custody services, while Standard Chartered Bank plans to launch spot trading for Bitcoin and Ethereum for institutions in 2025 and is applying for a stablecoin issuance license in Hong Kong.
