Iraqi Prime Minister Speaks with U.S. Secretary of State, Reiterates Refusal to Be Drawn Into Any Conflict

On the morning of the 10th local time, Iraqi Prime Minister Sudani had a phone call with U.S. Secretary of State Blinken, during which they discussed the latest developments in the current regional situation. Sudani reiterated that Iraq is committed to protecting its diplomatic missions and consulates, which is a core responsibility of the Iraqi armed forces. Sudani emphasized that Iraq’s airspace, territory, and territorial waters must not be used for any military actions against neighboring countries or the region.
