MOSCOW, Feb 13 (Reuters) - Russia will provide aid, including material assistance, to Cuba to help the island overcome the U.S. attempt to cut off oil supplies, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said on Friday, according to the state news agency TASS.

The newspaper Izvestia reported on Thursday that Russia was preparing to send crude oil and fuel to Cuba.
