Domestic smartphones increase by 2000 yuan? Some dealers reveal new phone price increases could be between 500 to 2000
(Source: IT Home)
IT Home March 13 News, according to Dahe Daily, as the supply of storage chips continues to be tight, the entire mobile phone industry is experiencing a significant shake-up. Some mobile phone dealers revealed that new phone prices could increase by between 500 and 2,000 yuan, with specific prices subject to official notices.
At OPPO authorized experience stores, sales staff said: “Prices will start to rise on the 16th. For example, the OPPO Find X9 released at the end of last year is expected to increase by about 500 yuan, and some foldable screen phones could go up by 2,000 yuan.”
Sales staff at vivo authorized experience stores said: “We haven’t received a clear price increase notice yet, but a price hike is certain. The upcoming vivo X300 Ultra will definitely be more expensive than last year’s flagship in the same class; while older models from vivo won’t see a price increase, they also won’t see a price drop.”
Staff at Honor stores said: “Low-end models might get a name change and a price increase, and new models will definitely see a price hike. The specific timing and extent of the adjustment still depend on official notices. For example, the Magic V6 released just on March 10, with 16GB+512GB and 16GB+1TB versions, both saw a 1,000 yuan increase over the previous generation.” The staff admitted, “Recently, there have been many people buying phones and tablets, mainly because prices are going up.”
Staff at Apple and Xiaomi stores said they have not yet received official price adjustment notices.
A Huawei distributor said: “Huawei phones’ official prices will not increase for now, as chip reserves are relatively sufficient.”
According to previous reports by IT Home, on March 10, OPPO announced on its official store that some products would have price adjustments starting March 16. The products affected include the OPPO A series, K series, and OnePlus, but do not include the OPPO Find series, Reno series, or OPPO Pad series.
