On March 2nd, Ambassador Jiang Zaifeng met with Pakistani Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Darel to exchange views on the current international and regional situation. Pakistan’s Foreign Secretary Amina and our embassy’s Counselor Xu Hangtian were present. Jiang Zaifeng stated that the current international and regional situation is rapidly evolving, and hegemonism and bullying are intensifying. As an all-weather strategic partner, China and Pakistan have always maintained close communication and are jointly committed to regional peace and stability. We are willing to continue solidarity and cooperation with Pakistan to uphold the international system with the United Nations at its core, the international order based on international law, and the basic norms of international relations based on the purposes and principles of the UN Charter. Darel shared his views on the current international and regional situation and said that Pakistan has always advocated resolving differences through dialogue and negotiations, actively playing a constructive role in easing regional tensions. Pakistan looks forward to strengthening cooperation with China, deepening the all-weather strategic partnership, and working together to maintain regional peace and stability and international fairness and justice.
