On the evening of March 15, in response to illegal activities exposed during the China Central Radio and Television Station’s “3.15” Consumer Rights Day Gala—such as “bleached chicken claws,” “universal miracle drugs,” and “height-increasing marketing”—the State Administration for Market Regulation quickly activated an emergency response mechanism, deployed law enforcement actions, and will promptly disclose the investigation results to the public.

Cities including Tianjin, Nanning, Shenyang, Chongqing, Chengdu, Wenzhou, Hangzhou, and Shanghai also issued overnight notices, conducting investigations on the involved companies.

Tianjin: Investigate and handle the “Universal Miracle Drug” involved company

On the evening of March 15, issues related to Hao Lin (Tianjin) Biotechnology Co., Ltd. were exposed during the “3.15” Gala.

Tianjin established a joint investigation team composed of the Tianjin Drug Administration, Tianjin Health Commission, Tianjin Public Security Bureau, and Tianjin Market Supervision Administration to conduct investigations and enforcement, resolutely crack down on illegal activities, and effectively protect the legitimate rights and interests of consumers.

Shenyang: Investigate multiple companies involved in “private domain marketing scams targeting the elderly”

On the evening of March 15, the “3.15” Gala exposed issues involving Shengwei and Aoying companies in Shenyang engaging in private domain marketing scams targeting the elderly.

The Shenyang Market Supervision Bureau, together with relevant departments, formed a joint investigation team to conduct on-site investigations. Moving forward, they will handle the cases strictly according to law and regulations, and will promptly disclose relevant information to the public.

Chongqing: File a case to investigate “bleached chicken claws” companies

On the evening of March 15, the “3.15” Gala exposed Chongqing Zeng Qiao Food Co., Ltd. for illegally using hydrogen peroxide in the processing of chicken claws.

Chongqing Market Supervision Administration announced that enforcement officers from the Hechuan District Market Supervision Bureau have entered the company to conduct further investigations. Currently, a case has been filed against the company for suspected violations, products involved have been seized, and the company is urged to recall the implicated products voluntarily.

Chengdu: Order three companies involved in foreign exosome issues to cease production and operations

File a case against companies involved in “height-increasing” scams

On the evening of March 15, the “3.15” Gala exposed “height-increasing” scams. Wenzhou and Hangzhou issued investigation notices to multiple involved companies.

Wenzhou issued investigation notices to several companies. Wenzhou “Dejiruì” and others are suspected of false advertising related to “physical height increase for teenagers.” The Wenzhou Lucheng District Market Supervision Administration, together with relevant departments, conducted on-site enforcement investigations. Based on the evidence collected, they will handle the cases strictly according to law. Additionally, industry-specific rectification measures are being organized to protect consumers’ legitimate rights.

Hangzhou filed cases against companies involved in height-increasing scams. Hangzhou Anlishen Health Management Co., Ltd. is suspected of “height-increasing” fraud. The Hangzhou High-tech (Rights Protection) Zone (Binjiang) Market Supervision Administration has conducted on-site investigations, filed a case, and collected evidence. Further actions will be taken according to the investigation results, strictly following legal procedures.

Shanghai: On-site inspection of illegal electric bike rental companies like Hello and others

On the evening of March 15, the “3.15” Gala exposed violations by Shanghai Hello Pu Hui Technology Co., Ltd. and Bojing Si Network Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. in electric bike rentals.

The Shanghai Municipal Market Supervision Administration announced that the city and district-level market supervision departments immediately activated emergency response mechanisms, working with public security and transportation departments to conduct on-site inspections of the involved companies overnight. The investigation results will be promptly disclosed to the public. Moving forward, relevant departments will jointly carry out comprehensive rectification of illegal activities in the electric bike rental sector to safeguard market order.

Zunyi: Seize companies involved in “stock recommendation profit-sharing” scams

On the evening of March 15, the “3.15” Gala exposed the Zunyi Xinben Ke Information Consulting Co., Ltd., for engaging in illegal stock investment consulting under the guise of “stock tips and profit sharing.”

The Zunyi Municipal Government Information Office issued a notice stating that the company has been sealed off, and the company’s responsible persons and related personnel are under control. Evidence materials are being collected simultaneously. The investigation is ongoing, and further legal action will be taken based on the results.
