Texas-based Mason Construction has agreed to settle a class action lawsuit stemming from a 2024 data breach. The company will pay affected individuals between $55 and $5,000 in compensation to cover losses from identity theft or fraud, as well as reimburse costs for document replacement and credit monitoring. The company denies any wrongdoing but agreed to settle allegations that unauthorized parties accessed sensitive personal data, including Social Security information and financial records, during a two-week period in January 2024. Claims must be submitted by June 1st.
