BYD and JD.com Reach Cooperation Agreement, Convenience Stores and Nayuki Coffee Enter Flash Charging Stations
IT Home, March 13 — Today, BYD (002594) and JD.com officially signed a business cooperation agreement at BYD’s headquarters in Shenzhen, and inaugurated the first nationwide fast-charging station for their partnership.
According to official information from IT Home, unlike traditional single-function charging stations, the fast-charging stations developed through the BYD and JD.com partnership focus on “power replenishment + services,” upgrading from a single-function charging station to an integrated “people · vehicle · power” comprehensive service station. The first cooperative fast-charging station in Pingshan includes diverse consumer scenarios such as JD convenience stores, Qixian Coffee, and D-space cultural and creative boutiques. It operates 24 hours a day through an intelligent cloud monitoring system, providing users with a high-quality charging and power replenishment experience.
In the future, both parties will collaborate extensively across areas such as station site selection, charging rights, and vehicle ecosystems, engaging in multi-level business cooperation. Leveraging JD’s extensive office parks and logistics hub resources, they will support high-quality site selection for the fast-charging network and accelerate its deployment. Additionally, they will pursue targeted, scenario-based marketing collaborations, exploring innovative business models such as mutual member point exchanges, charging rights linkage, vehicle ecosystems, and convenient payment options.
BYD’s second-generation Blade Battery and fast-charging technology were released on the evening of March 5, setting a new global record for fastest mass-produced charging speed: charging from 10% to 70% in just 5 minutes; from 10% to 97% in only 9 minutes; and from 20% to 97% at -30°C, only 3 minutes longer than at room temperature. Chairman and President Wang Chuanfu announced the “Fast Charge China” strategy — a large-scale nationwide deployment of fast-charging stations, with an expected 20,000 stations to be built by the end of this year.
