(MENAFN- IANS) Mumbai, March 13 (IANS) The wait is finally over. The makers of Imtiaz Ali’s next film, titled “Main Vaapas Aaunga,” have unveiled the first look poster for the drama.

The posters released on social media give off an old-school romance vibe, with one picture showing Sharvani riding a bicycle in the middle of the fields, while Vedang Raina runs behind her dressed as a sardar.

Meanwhile, we see Diljit Dosanjh standing in the middle of a field with a calm expression on his face.

In another photo, Diljit is holding a travel mug, suggesting his character might be from a big city or even abroad.

Although it’s hard to tell much more about the story from the first look posters, it appears that “Main Vaapas Aaunga” is set across two different timelines.

The makers will also release the teaser for the film on Friday.

Starring Diljit Dosanjh, Naseeruddin Shah, Vedang Raina, and Sharvari, the film promises a beautiful story of love and longing.

“Main Vaapas Aaunga” is scheduled to hit theaters on June 12th this year.

In January, the makers announced the release date for the highly anticipated film on social media with a post that read, “Imtiaz Ali’s next, a charming story of love and longing, will release in cinemas on June 12th, 2026. Jointly produced by Applause Entertainment, Window Seat Films, and Mohit Choudhary, the project also marks the return of legendary Oscar-winning composer A.R. Rahman, lyricist Irshad Kamil, and director Imtiaz Ali.
