After the attack on Haluk Island, Iran issued a stern warning to the UAE
According to a report by China News Service on March 15, a spokesperson from Iran’s Hatham Abiyah Central Headquarters of the armed forces stated on March 14 that Iran has warned the United Arab Emirates that it may target U.S. targets within its territory following the U.S. attack on Halek Island.
Previously, the U.S. Central Command issued a statement on social platform X saying: “On the night of the 13th, U.S. forces launched a large-scale high-precision strike on Halek Island, destroying military facilities such as mine warehouses and missile storage bunkers. Without damaging oil infrastructure, U.S. forces successfully struck over 90 Iranian military targets on Halek Island.”
The report said Iran’s Tasnim News Agency quoted a military spokesperson as saying: “We inform the leadership of the UAE that Iran considers it lawful to target U.S. missile launch sites within UAE shipping ports, as well as U.S. military deployment points and hideouts in multiple cities in the UAE to protect its sovereignty and territory.”
The spokesperson also pointed out that the targets of the U.S. strikes are not only Halek Island but also Abu Musa Island. He also called on UAE residents to leave ports and locations where U.S. troops may be stationed.
