Iran Customs Administration Says Domestic Essential Supplies Are Sufficient

People’s Financial News, March 15 — Local time on the 15th, the Iranian Customs Administration issued a statement emphasizing that the supply of basic living materials within the country is sufficient and calling on the public not to worry excessively. According to the latest statistics from the Iranian Customs Administration, approximately 6 million tons of goods are currently awaiting unloading or stored at ports and 13 major customs checkpoints nationwide. The main categories include key areas related to people’s livelihoods, such as wheat, rice, tea, edible oil, oilseeds, livestock feed, and soybean meal. Currently, the daily volume of goods flowing from customs into the Iranian domestic market remains between 80,000 and 100,000 tons, most of which are essential supplies related to people’s livelihoods. The Customs Administration stated that, based on current reserves and customs clearance speed, the country has the capacity to maintain long-term market stability. (CCTV News)
