Ultimately, Kimi Antonelli of the Mercedes team won the Shanghai race with a lead of over 5 seconds, finishing first, while his teammate George Russell took second. Seven-time champion Lewis Hamilton of Ferrari finished third. However, the Middle East situation forced the F1 organizers to cancel the Bahrain and Saudi Arabian races scheduled for next month, becoming a major focus for fans.

Middle East Tensions Lead to F1 Cancelling Bahrain and Saudi Races

Due to escalating tensions in the Middle East, it has been reported that F1 will cancel its Middle Eastern races because of geopolitical issues. The F1 organizers officially announced on Sunday morning that the Bahrain and Saudi Arabian races scheduled for April would be canceled, with no replacement venues or races arranged. This reduces the total number of races for the year from 24 to 22.

The Bahrain race was originally scheduled for April 10-12, followed by the Saudi Arabian race the following week. Therefore, after the Japanese race from March 27-29, F1 fans will have to wait until the Miami race from May 1-3 to watch the next event, leaving a five-week gap.
