Nvidia (US: NVDA) is reportedly planning to launch an open-source AI agent platform for enterprises. Nvidia has begun pitching a product called “NemoClaw” to enterprise software companies. NemoClaw will allow businesses to deploy AI agents within their workflows to perform specific tasks on behalf of employees. The platform can be accessed regardless of whether customer products run on Nvidia chips.

According to reports, Nvidia has approached companies such as Salesforce, Cisco, Google, Adobe, and CrowdStrike regarding collaboration on NemoClaw. It is unclear whether formal partnerships have been established. Sources cited that, due to the open-source nature of the platform, partners may contribute to the project to gain early free access. Nvidia also plans to incorporate security and privacy tools into the platform.

Nvidia’s interest in AI agents comes as the market begins to accept “claws.” Earlier this year, OpenClaw’s AI agents drew widespread attention, but their use in enterprise environments has been controversial. Some tech companies, including Meta, have asked employees not to use OpenClaw on work computers due to the unpredictability of the agents and potential security risks.

For Nvidia, NemoClaw appears to be a move to attract enterprise software companies by providing additional security for AI agents. This is also part of Nvidia’s broader strategy to embrace open-source AI models, aiming to strengthen its leadership in AI infrastructure. Currently, leading AI labs are building their own custom chips. Nvidia’s software strategy has heavily relied on its CUDA platform, locking developers into creating software for Nvidia GPUs and building a critical “moat” around the company.
