ChainCatcher News: U.S. President Donald Trump stated at the Florida Republican Conference that he will refuse to sign any other laws until the Congress approves the “SAVE America Act”—a bill related to voter identification, citizen verification, and restrictions on mail-in ballots.

This stance could hinder the long-anticipated Digital Asset Market Clarity Act for the crypto industry. The crypto bill is currently under tough negotiations by the Senate Banking Committee, after previously being approved by the Senate Agriculture Committee.

Although Trump has been calling for improved crypto regulation since early last year and considers it a White House priority, he now insists that voter ID legislation is his top priority, calling it key to ensuring Republican victories in the midterm elections and beyond.
