Wu Shuo has learned that the Bank of Canada, the Canadian Export Development Agency, the Royal Bank of Canada, and TD Bank have completed the Samara project experiment, testing the application of distributed ledger technology in bond issuance and settlement. Processes such as bond issuance, bidding, trading, and settlement were all carried out on a platform based on Hyperledger Fabric. The results show that this technology has the potential to improve efficiency and reduce settlement risk, but it also introduces issues such as system complexity, governance structure, and regulatory adaptation. Large-scale application in the short term still faces challenges.
