U.S. District Judge Mary Kay Vyskocil of the Southern District of New York issued a temporary restraining order (TRO) against crypto lending platform BlockFills in a lawsuit filed by Dominion Capital, freezing 70.6 BTC related to the dispute, and prohibiting the company from transferring relevant assets or transferring assets outside the United States during the case proceedings. The order also requires BlockFills to disclose and segregate customer funds. Dominion alleges that BlockFills misappropriated and commingled customer assets, refusing to return the related crypto assets after suspending withdrawals. Previously, BlockFills had suspended customer deposits and withdrawals in February, reportedly losing about $75 million in the recent market downturn, and is seeking buyers or emergency financing.
