As for Asian currencies, the Japanese yen traded at 155.77 per dollar, and the Canadian dollar at 1.3644. Completing the currency variation picture, the Swiss franc registered 0.7756 dollars and the Swedish krona 8.9154. The 0.21% decline in the dollar index reflects a period of weakening of the currency in global markets, impacting exchange rates among major currencies.
