Dusk Foundation has been in an interesting position from the very beginning. It does not pursue conventional optimizations like "faster public chains" or "lower transaction fees," but instead raises a sharper question: if finance moves entirely onto the blockchain, is humanity ready to face a completely transparent world?

This is rarely discussed frankly in today's crypto market. Transparency is packaged as justice, openness is equated with security, and traceability is regarded as the cornerstone of trust. It sounds ideal, but reality doesn't buy it.

Imagine no one live-streams company accounts to the entire internet, no one posts salary structures on social media, no one leaves business contracts lying around in public squares for strangers to see. Yet once on-chain, the default logic of mainstream public chains flips — everything becomes public.

Dusk's resistance begins here.

It doesn't pursue "extreme anonymity," but a more realistic balance: something that can be verified but cannot be窥探. This approach is mature — neither idealistic nor radical, just aiming to make the on-chain world "livable" like real society.

The challenge lies here: the order of the real world is not built by technology, but accumulated through power, law, and historical compromise. Dusk uses mathematics, cryptography, and consensus to address a fundamentally social structural problem. This alone is extremely difficult.

This question is brilliantly asked. The rhetoric that transparency equals justice has long been exposed.

Ha, finally someone dares to talk about transparency, really tired of those idealistic tunes. Compared to TPS and Gas fees, what Dusk asks is the real question. The reason I never let strangers see my wallet is because of this. Privacy and verification of the balance... this is the way Web3 should go, but it’s indeed extremely difficult. On-chain ledgers reveal everything, which doesn’t match the real world. It will have to be adjusted sooner or later. Wait, can cryptography really solve social issues? That premise is a bit questionable. Anyway, compared to projects that hype TPS, Dusk’s approach is much more clear-headed. Humans are simply not ready for complete transparency; we’ve always liked to hide things.

Well said, finally someone has pierced through this layer of window paper. The transparency fanaticism should wake up and come to their senses. I don't believe anyone truly wants their transfer records to be publicly viewed by the entire internet. Isn't that just self-deception? Dusk's approach is indeed different. If privacy and verification can be achieved simultaneously, that would be the truly usable future.

This logic is a bit extreme... Can the balance point between privacy and transparency really be built with cryptography? I have my doubts. From a quantitative perspective, Dusk's approach is technically sound, but when it comes to social structure... frankly, it's a power game; code can't change human nature. Another project trying to solve philosophical problems with mathematics? Risk warning: historical data shows that the survival rate of such innovative public chains is not very optimistic. The essence of privacy in the real world is fundamentally about the pricing of scarce resources. Can this mechanism be replicated on-chain? Not very optimistic about that. By the way, how exactly is this tokenomics? Let's first look at the token release cycle. If Dusk can truly balance privacy verification... it might be a dark horse in this cycle, but the bottoming pattern isn't clear yet, so we're watching.
