Many people trade short-term contracts, but only a few actually make money. I myself rely on 5-minute charts for quick trades, typically earning half a point to one point per trade. Even with 20x leverage, it’s not much. Using two or even three layers of positions does offer more flexibility, but discipline is a must.

I’ve seen too many new coin contract markets open with a surge, attracting a rush of traders, only to suddenly crash, leaving no chance to stop loss and resulting in liquidation. I’ve suffered losses myself, so now I adhere to a principle—only use small positions that I can afford to lose. Making some pocket money is enough; real big profits come from long-term, steady strategies and choices. The strategies of big players are beyond what retail investors can learn.

Later, I realized that instead of risking everything in high-risk short-term contracts, it’s better to look for stable opportunities. Anyway, there are also chances in major A-shares markets. Let everyone showcase their skills.

That's right, rushing in blindly resulted in too many people getting crushed. I've seen quite a few myself. Holding contracts and not sleeping well, it's better to just play it safe with a swing.

Listen, I agree with the small position approach, but honestly, there are very few people who can make money just by trading on the 5-minute chart. Those new coin projects are not worth touching at all, one word—dead end. Small investors are just small investors, don't think about turning things around. Stable returns are more valuable than anything.

Sounds like a painful lesson. The new coin contract system really is a harvest machine for the naive investors. Short-term trading, to put it simply, is just a gamble on luck. Making half a point with 20x leverage is less comfortable than sleeping. One slip-up and you're liquidated, losing your head. By the way, did you really switch to A-shares later on? Or are you still just idling around in the crypto world?

Looking at what the big brother said, it’s definitely from someone who has been through the pitfalls. Those new coin markets can really trap people badly; I’ve seen too many get wiped out with just one dump. Using 20x leverage to make half a point doesn’t really have much profit, but at least you’re still alive, I agree with that. Discipline is truly the dividing line between life and death. However, small positions are still more comfortable in the long run, with fewer moments of heart stress.

It sounds real. I blew up my position out of greed before, and now I've changed my attitude. The new coin market is too risky, and it's impossible to defend against. 5-minute trading sounds easy to say but hard to do; the key is to have discipline. Retail and institutional investors play differently, don't try to copy blindly. Making money from pocket change is actually the most stable, and you can live longer. I'm also starting to look at A-shares; it's less exhausting than watching the market every day. Small positions are correct, otherwise it's easy to lose your mindset. Short-term contracts are just gambling; no one should be overconfident.

Basically, it's a mindset issue. Saying you can afford to lose a position is a bit too absolute.

It's the same old story... Making half a point in five-minute charts, with twenty times leverage, and it still isn't enough to cover the gas fee for a cross-chain transaction.
