Oh my god, I just saw news about issues with the Trust Wallet browser extension, and I got a little nervous😰 Luckily, I use the mobile version, so I'm unaffected, but thinking about that $7 million vulnerability still makes me a bit scared...
This also made me realize that wallet security is really not a small matter. The official said that users who are on version 2.68 should quickly disable and upgrade to version 2.69, and they promised to fully compensate affected users. That’s quite responsible. However, the process seems a bit complicated, especially the steps for the Chrome extension panel...
I’d like to ask, how do you all usually prevent this kind of risk? Besides updating promptly, are there any additional security measures? For example, should we avoid storing too many assets in browser extensions, or regularly check the version number?🤔 As a beginner, I don’t quite understand these details yet and want to learn more about ways to protect my wallet. It feels like the most important thing when entering the space is to first get the security basics right!
