Platform X's algorithm open-source faces criticism: Why are encrypted posts frequently being blocked?

Conversely, the accounts you truly follow and the topics you deeply engage with often disappear from the page. What’s the logic behind this?

What’s even more heartbreaking is data revealed by CryptoQuant CEO Ki Young Ju—yesterday, over 7.75 million crypto-related posts were published by bots on X platform, a staggering 1224% increase year-over-year. And what was the result? Posts tagged “cryptocurrency” were ruthlessly suppressed by the platform’s algorithm. A large influx of spam content flooded in, leading to genuine crypto discussions being buried. Is this the effect of open-sourcing?
