#密码资产动态追踪 Starknet is down again—on Monday, all transactions stalled and rolled back within 18 minutes.
The official incident report just came out, blaming the problem on the execution layer's "amnesia": the system mistakenly treated data that should have been discarded as valid states, causing a batch of transactions to execute incorrectly. Fortunately, the verification layer detected the anomaly in time and halted the process, preventing more serious consequences. But the cost was that the entire blockchain had to be reorganized, and the network clock was rolled back for a period.
However, this has become a common occurrence.
The list of Starknet failures in 2025 is getting longer. The most outrageous was in September—when the Sequencer completely crashed, on-chain data was scrambled, transaction history was entirely wiped out, and the downtime lasted over five hours. Users had to resubmit their transactions. For retail users, it might just be annoying, but for those who were forced to liquidate or sell tokens on exchanges in an emergency, losing an hour of trading window could mean assets evaporating directly.
Layer2 was originally designed for high speed and low fees, which is its core competitive advantage over Layer1. But frequent crashes, chain reorganizations, and transaction rollbacks—can anyone really feel secure putting assets into it? The technical team talks about strengthening testing and deepening audits, but the actual performance and promises are far apart.
This also raises a deeper question: where exactly is the bottom line of Layer2 stability? If the infrastructure can't even sustain continuous operation, then all the advantages of high throughput and low cost are meaningless. How can user experience be maintained? And how can trust be sustained?
Have you experienced transaction lag or failures on Layer2 platforms like Starknet? Have you ever been forced to wait or resubmit transactions? Do frequent rollbacks and reorganizations affect your view of the entire Layer2 direction? Share your real feelings in the comments👇
