Next month is the Lunar New Year, but there’s not a hint of the festive atmosphere. Do you feel it?

I came across a saying that was very well put.

When you were a child, the sense of the New Year was created by adults through rituals.

Now it’s your turn to create that for the children, but you refuse and complain that there’s no New Year flavor anymore.

Every era has its own sense of rituals, and the so-called New Year flavor is just a kind of ritual.

You refuse to visit relatives, refuse family gatherings during the Spring Festival, if conditions allow, buy new clothes at will without waiting for the first day of the lunar new year, and so on. All these are you destroying the sense of ritual. Of course, you can say these rituals are outdated and bring inconvenience to life.

The core issue is, how should the sense of ritual in the new era be cultivated? Moreover, adults are the creators of the New Year flavor, not the ones enjoying it. Children are the ones who enjoy the New Year flavor.
