A major payment solutions player has rolled out a $150M Payment Accelerator program targeting the intersection of crypto cards, remittances, and retail transactions. This initiative aims to supercharge adoption in three key verticals that remain critical for mainstream crypto integration.

The program will provide accelerator participants with wallet payments integration support and grant access to extensive distribution channels across global markets. This dual approach—technical infrastructure plus market reach—creates a meaningful runway for early-stage projects in the payment space. Whether you're building in cross-border remittance corridors, retail payment rails, or tokenized card ecosystems, applications are now open for participation.

150M has been invested, and finally someone is taking remittance seriously, but can it really be implemented?

ngl, $150M sounds impressive until you realize path dependency matters... these "accelerators" rarely solve the actual stakeholder alignment problem. remittances tho? arguably the least sub-optimal vertical, historically precedent suggests corridor adoption actually sticks when you nail the ux.

Investing 150M just for these three tracks, feels like a good choice.

A project that was still touting "the payment track is the ultimate killer application" just a month and a half ago now has $150 million invested... No, the money is well spent; payments should be played like this. It's rare to see real investment directed toward infrastructure and channels. Most accelerators are just empty promises and stories. This time, it looks promising—cards, remittances, retail—covering three main areas is definitely better than just hopping on one leg. Having money alone isn't enough; the key is that global distribution channel, which is the real strategic position. Otherwise, even small projects with coding skills can only fend for themselves and perish. Old sisters, this wave is really worth watching, but don’t ask me whether I’m investing or not—I’m just a storyteller.

Is it true that 150 million is coming down? How many projects would need to be attracted to fill the gap?

Spending 15 billion to become the leading payment provider? The remittance part still seems a bit uncertain.

With 150M invested, it all depends on who can take a bite of this piece of the pie. Remittance truly needs a breakthrough.
