Abstract generation in progress

On December 23, South Korea's payment giant BC Card completed a stablecoin payment pilot project, allowing foreign users to pay local merchants using stablecoins. The project was carried out in collaboration with blockchain company Wavebridge, wallet provider Aaron Group, and cross-border remittance provider Global Money Express. Foreign users can exchange the stablecoins stored in their overseas wallets for digital prepaid cards through BC Card. BC Card is one of South Korea's largest payment companies, handling over 20% of credit card transactions in the country and covering 3.4 million domestic merchants, with its major shareholder being KT, one of South Korea's three major telecommunications companies.
