LayerZero lets you move native assets across chains without wrapping. Why does this matter? Wrapped versions split liquidity into fragments. You end up with multiple fake copies of the same token floating around. One depeg event? The whole house of cards collapses.
LayerZero sidesteps this trap entirely by transferring the actual asset.

I have to say, wrapped tokens are indeed a trap, and the liquidity is fragmented to a mess.
LayerZero's idea is really brilliant, directly transferring native assets across chains, saving a lot of trouble.
It should have been this way long ago; everyone is afraid of the depeg risk.

Finally, someone has said it, wrapped coins are really a tumor.
The idea of layerzero is indeed comfortable, directly cross-chain saves a lot of intermediaries.
However, the issue of liquidity dispersion should have been solved long ago.

Someone should have made this clear a long time ago, wrapped tokens are just a time bomb.

I've been through it all. Back in 2018, that bunch of cross-chain projects were hyped up like crazy, and what happened in the end? Contract vulnerabilities, fragmented liquidity, and project parties rug pulling. Now LayerZero is talking about native asset cross-chain… It sounds right, but how many can actually survive the Bear Market?

Well, wrapped tokens are just a pit, the fragmentation of Liquidity is really disgusting.

To be honest, wrapped tokens are just a trap; the Liquidity fragmentation is too severe.

Here comes another dream story about LayerZero to sell me. The wrapped token I believed in last time has now dropped to zero and is lying flat.
Ah, human nature, always putting old wine in new bottles. It sounds easy to say "depeg," but when it comes to the battlefield, isn't it the same 50% Slump?
Forget wrapped tokens. They're a mess.
