Gate News, April 8, decentralized exchange aggregator Jupiter announced the launch of a Token Verification API (VRFD), enabling Launchpads, DEXs, and AI agents to integrate verification capabilities directly into the token creation process, achieving programmatic verification. The API uses a three-step workflow: developers create and sign a Solana transaction to burn 1,000 JUP, then submit a verification request by pairing it with the token metadata update. This transaction requires no Gas fees; developers do not need to hold SOL to pay transaction costs, only to have at least 1,000 JUP in their wallet in order to submit. Jupiter is positioning VRFD as the standard infrastructure for all projects on Solana.
