Golden Finance reported that the Artificial Super Intelligence (ASI) Alliance recently issued a statement on X, advocating for the decentralization of cloud infrastructure and its role in the development of General Artificial Intelligence (AGI). The alliance believes that centralized cloud services such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure have multiple vulnerabilities, including the risk of single-point failure.
Fetch.ai CEO and ASI Alliance Chairman Humayun Sheikh explained that a centralized cloud structure is “vulnerable to network attacks or interruptions”. “By decentralizing the cloud, data and control are distributed across independent Nodes, ensuring that if one Node fails, the entire system remains secure and operational, dropping the possibility of catastrophic failure.”
