Marathon Digital performed invalid mining during an experiment Bitcoin mining firm Marathon Digital has confirmed that it has mined an invalid Bitcoin block during an experiment aimed at optimizing the firm’s operations. According to a September 27 post, Marathon Digital said it was using a small percentage of the firm’s hashrate for these experiments. Along with this, Marathon Digital has also said that they are not trying to change any network. Marathon Digital stressed that it attempted to correct the error as soon as it became aware of the invalid block.
